2026 All NY Shop Hop

Again this year in May and June, Quilting with Margaret will be participating in the All NY Shop Hop. To get ready for this big statewide event, stop by the studio to get a copy of this year’s magazine to plan your shop hop.

In preparation for and during the two back-to-back Get-Away Quilt Retreats the end of April, Quilting with Margaret will be closed Friday, April 10 - Thursday, April 30. But the shop will reopen with extended hours starting May 1 through June 30 for the ANYSH. Extended Shop Hop hours are:
Tuesdays - Fridays, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Every Saturday (in May and June), 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Two Sundays (May 17 & June 14), 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Quilting with Margaret is a Rochester, NY, studio located at 100 Boxart St. #265 in the Charlotte neighborhood.
In her new studio at the Boxart building, home to a combination of businesses and artists, Margaret Spevak creates contemporary quilts and handmade fabric goods such as runners, funky potholders and pin-up oven mitts. She was formerly at the historic Hungerford building for 10 years.
Her goods are for sale at the studio when she is open and by appointment, or whenever she is busily at work there, creating fun artisan crafts. They’re always for sale at this web site.

Quilting Fabrics
Art Gallery, Paintbrush Studios, Riley Blake, RB Studios and Free Spirit modern quilt fabrics are for sale by the yard along with pre-cuts. Also available are patterns, books, notions and Fox River "sock monkey" socks at her studio quilt shop.

Quilting Classes
Margaret is well known as a local quilting instructor who has introduced hundreds of Rochesterians to quilting, and helps to perfect their quilting skills.
Since 2006, she has been hosting an annual April Get-Away in Western New York.
She also conducts classes and makers weekend workshops several times a year.
