Get-Away #2 is FULL, Space Still Available in Get-Away #1
The 2026 Get-Away Retreat #2 is now full. But there are still spaces available in Get-Away Retreat #1, from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26, with an optional add-on-day and night Thursday, April 23.
Don’t delay registering and putting your $100 deposit down for Get-Away Retreat #1, if you are planning to join us in 2026.
We will be returning to The Mansion overlooking Keuka Lake, between Penn Yan and Branchport. This historic old house has 8 rooms decorated with antique furniture and equipped with modern bathrooms, refrigerators, coffee makers, TV and WiFi. Right next to The Mansion is the Inn where all of the rooms have a view of Keuka Lake. These rooms are also equipped with refrigerators, TV and WiFi and have a lake house feel.
The Get-Away Retreat #1 begins at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026. For an extra fee, you can add the full day, Thursday, April 23, to extend your retreat from 3 days to 4 days.
Retreat cost includes 3 meals each day, except for Sunday which includes a full hot breakfast and box lunch. Retreat ends at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Everyone will have a sewing station in the well-lit “sewing room.” Cutting and ironing stations will be available for everone’s use. Retreat cost also includes the pattern for the group project, a kit for a raffle block, a kit for a mini-class on Saturday, a welcome bag when you arrive and special retreat extras at your sewing station.
There will be a mobile quilt shop set up in the Sewing Room and a cash bar available in the evenings. We will have a welcome reception on Friday afternoon before dinner. Everyone will also be invited to a Pre-Party at the Quilting with Margaret Boxart Studio Shop several weeks prior to the Get-Away Weekend where you will meet or reunite with fellow retreaters, receive a supply list, enjoy refreshments and have an opportunity to shop for supplies for the Get-Away Retreat. If you are unable to attend the Pre-Party, you will be emailed the supply list and information received at the Pre-Party.
The Mansion has offered us a special price for rooms at either the Mansion or the next-door Inn. You will need to call the Mansion at Keuka Lake to reserve your room for the nights you wish to stay. They require a credit card to hold your room, but your card will not be charged until you arrive for the Get-Away Retreat. You will also have the option to arrive at the hotel the evening before your Get-Away begins, set up your sewing station and spend the extra night in your room before your retreat begins the next morning. Just be sure to let the hotel know which day you plan to arrive. Also, If you are attending the Get-Away with a friend and would like to share a room, the price is the same as a single room so you can split the room cost with your friend.
