Quilting with Margaret presents quilting classes in the Rochester, New York area.  Margaret Spevak teaches a wide range of classes from beginner such as Double Irish Chain quilts and Machine Quilting to advanced like Giant Dahlia and Double Wedding Ring.  She also does private lessons, workshops and retreats.  Margaret was one of the first instructors in the area to offer a day/midnight quilting retreat.  For the last five years she has been hosting a luxury quilt get-away weekend retreat at a resort in the nearby Finger Lakes region, with attendees from as far away as Ohio and Maryland.

Margaret has been quilting for nearly 20 years and teaching quilting classes for the last 15.  She has a bachelor’s degree in home economics education from Ohio University and was previously a high school home economics teacher.  She’s married and lives in Rochester with her writer husband, Jeff, and their Weimaraner, Abilene.
