Modern Quilting Class Begins Wednesday

Posted By on October 14, 2012

Want to learn how to make a “modern quilt,” today’s latest trend in quilting? It’s not to late to sign up for my Modern Quilting Class which meets for 4 Wednesdays at my studio and begins this week on September 17.  I will be teaching a morning class from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and a night class from 6 – 8:30 p.m. both at my studio in the Hungerford, 1115 East Main Street, Studio.  It’s on the third floor, studio #307.   The class costs just $60 and meets 10/17, 10/24, 11/7 and 11/21.

This also would make a great beginner class, if you just want to learn quilting basics.  In class we will cover the following quiltmaking basics:  proper rotary cutting, piecing with a perfect 1/4″ seam allowance, pressing basics, how to baste a quilt, machine quilting on your home machine, and attaching bindings.  By the end of class, you will have a beautiful modern lap quilt.  My studio is equipped with lots of tables, cutting stations,  irons and ironing boards and comfortable, adjustable office chairs.

To sign up, just send me an email at qwm@rochester.rr.com and I will email you the supply list.  You can pay by check or cash at the first class.
