"Branching Out" show

Last night I was at the Unitarian Church (220 Winton Rd. South) at Cafe Veritas to see folk singer Gordon Bok and Phil Marshall play.  Jeff was doing a  book signing before the show, so I was wondering around and found a wonderful little art quilt show in the lobby to the left of the entrance.  RAFA (Rochester Area Fiber Artists) had a show up of about 20 wall hanging quilts.  The show title “Branching Out,” will be up through September.  If you are in the area, stop by and check it out.   There were quilts by various RAFA members, including Janet Root and Pat Berardi.

I had the first class at my studio last Wednesday night, an Open Studio.  We worked on our own projects and stayed until 10:30 p.m.  Everyone got lots done.  I have lots of room in my new studio.  There is room to baste quilts, a cutting station and ironing station, a large design wall, and adjustable office chairs.  Bring your own dinner (I have a microwave and refrigerator that you can use) and  stop by after work (anytime after 5 p.m.) once a month on Wednesday evening.  The cost is just $20.  Email me (qwm@rochester.rr.com)  if you want to join us and I’ll give you my cell number so you can call me to meet you in the parking lot when you arrive.  We’ll be meeting on the following dates: 10/10, 11/14 and 12/12.
