It won’t be long now till our annual Get-Away Weekend at Bristol Harbour overlooking Canandaigua Lake. The deadline for sign up is coming up fast, March 10. It’s not too late to join us for a relaxing weekend of quilting and pampering. We’re celebrating our 5th anniversary with more extras than ever before, which has drawn our largest ever crowd yet of quilters and crafters. I for one, can’t wait until April 9, when the fun begins! Bag Lady: Market Tote
Get ready for spring with this month’s Bag Lady class on Friday, March 12, from 10am-3pm at Jackie Lynn’s. We’re making this versatile “green” Market Tote. This airy tote bag is made from petscreen mesh and a fat quarter. Petscreen is a durable vinyl mesh used on patio screen doors and available at your local hardware store. It makes a great tote for the market or to carry your groceries, but it’s also handy for toting around crafts or beach items or makes a great gift bag that is reusable.
S.A.B.L.E. Club - March 13
The March S.A.B.L.E. Club (or stash amassed beyond life expectancy) is another quilt from the book Twin Peaks: Quilts from Easy Strip-Pieced Triangles by Gayle Bong. It’s an incredibly easy way to make a tumbling blocks quilt with no set-in piecing and no triangles to sew…it’s all strip-pieced. Gather your favorite collection of fat quarters and join us on Saturday, March 13, from 12 -5 pm, for this month’s S.A.B.L.E. Club at Jackie Lynn’s.
